Nice job with this one. The soft features were very well done, and the use of shading and lighting complimented these. Where this image truly shines is in these soft features and Luna's body language. Her facial expression was well thought out, and works well in portraying her mood. A slight downward gaze while sitting with wings folded enhances this goal. The amount of detail in the mane is lovely, and the whole thing has a very nice flow to it. I did enjoy the addition of stars to her eye, as it adds detail and gives the viewer something to look at rather than a simple black circle.

On that note, eyes are very tricky. Even more so when they're a focal point. You did a nice job here, though I am going to make a couple suggestions. There appears to be a slight yellow tint to the white area in Luna's eye, which I think could be adjusted a bit more towards white. There is also what looks like a nebula in there that I feel is a little bit too prominent, especially in the black area of her eye. Keeping the stars as they are, I think you can turn up the transparency on the nebula a little bit and the effect would still be maintained. Everything else is very good.

As far as impact goes, take one look at Luna, and you can tell she's distressed. A lot of this comes, again, from the softer features and body language. However, I think the brighter luminescent purple aura may be stealing a lot of the thunder there.

Nevertheless, I definitely see where you wanted to go with this image, and your technique is amazing. Beautiful image. Excellent job.
